Doodle camp - day 4

Today we were to doodle letters and faces.  I combined both and doodled letters with faces. Not super original, but so fun to doodle...

I still have the prompts from yesterday and today to doodle, but I'm saving those til I have a bit more time to play around with ideas.

Doodle camp - day 2

So today in Doodle Camp I decorated the front cover of my journal and doodled a packing list of things I would bring if I were actually going to camp. Take a look...
I'm really happy with the lettering in the bottom right and the paisley (you can't tell from this but it's silver to match the duct tape binding).  The quote is from a blog post of Wil Wheaton's encouraging people to be creative and take risks.  I love that idea.

Doodle camp - day 1

My second online workshop started today - Doodle Camp with Dawn Sokol.  Today we prepped and bound our journals, and started a little doodling based on prompts she gave us.  Here are the two pages I worked on.

She let her inner artist explore

So I'm taking my first tentative steps into art.  I've been a knitter for years, but only recently started expanding my horizons.  I signed up for 3 online workshops recently:
Painted Pages with Sarah Ahearn Bellemare (starts in a week or so)
Doodle Camp 2013 with Dawn Sokol (starts Monday)
She Art Workshop with Christy Tomlinson (self-paced, I started this weekend)

I just finished my first She Art girl today, and it was so much fun.  I am so, so happy with the way she turned out.  Take a look...
